An Afternoon Workshop with Songs and Texts from the
British Isles accompanied by the Celtic Harp
Luxuriate in a sound bath ... enjoy rhythms, rhymes
and roundelays ... savour poetry and prose. Or how about
singing some traditional Scottish ballads? Or some seventeenth-century
English street music?
This workshop is all about releasing your voice and
opening up your vocal potential, as regards both your
speaking and singing voice. Using the principles of the
Alexander Technique, a highly effective body-mind method,
we shall take a practical look at how to optimise the
use of your sound-body, and then ... let your voice ring!
Songs and texts from the British Isles will inspire
and delight us.
No experience is necessary; non-singers are welcome.
You should wear comfortable clothing, and bring a mat
to lie on and a few paperback books to act as a headrest.
The workshop will be held in English (with German translation
if wished) and is facilitated by Harriet Anderson and
Alan Mars.
